Melodifestivalen’s Final has its first two acts

Tonight, Melodifestivalen 2025 kicked off with Heat 1 live from Luleå. It featured six acts competing for only two spots in the Grand Final, while the third place act has qualified for a spot in the final via the Qualification Round, set to take place following Heat 5 on 1st March.

Edvin Törnblom and Kristina Petrushina hosted the show, which featured these six songs:

  1. Albin Johnsén feat. Pa – Upp i luften
  2. Maja Ivarsson – Kamikaze Life
  3. John Lundvik – Voice of the Silent
  4. Meira Omar – Hush Hush
  5. Adrian Macéus – Vår första gång
  6. Linnea Henriksson – Den känslan

After the first voting round, the winner was John Lundvik, who qualified directly to the final.

The remaining 5 acts competed in the second voting round, which had the following result:

  • Albin Johnsén feat. Pa – Upp i luften
  • Maja Ivarsson – Kamikaze Life
  • Meira Omar – Hush Hush
  • Adrian Macéus – Vår första gång
  • Linnea Henriksson – Den känslan

This means that Maja Ivarsson is the second finalist, while Meira Omar still has a chance to make the Final via the Qualification Round on 1st March.

Albin Johnsén feat. Pa, Adrian Macéus, and Linnea Henriksson are sadly eliminated.

Whoever wins Melodifestivalen this year will follow in Marcus and Martius’ footsteps at Eurovision. Last year, the twins placed 9th for Sweden with 174 points with Unforgettable!
