Slaven Došlo backs out from hosting Pesma za Evroviziju 2025
Serbia’s Pesma za Evroviziju is set to take place next week, as its two semi finals will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday (25th and 26th of February, whilst the Grand Final will take place on Friday, 28th of February. Less than a week before the start of the competition, one of the hosts – Slaven Došlo, a well known Serbian actor, decided to back out from his hosting duties.
On his Instagram profile, Slaven confirmed that he is backing out from his hosting duties this year, and stated the following:
With great gratitude to the RTS Entertainment Department team for the invitation, and with respect for their efforts in organizing this complex event, I would like to inform you that I have made the decision not to be a part of Pesma za Evroviziju this year. In the current social circumstances, I do not see the possibility of carrying out the job of hosting this competition with full integrity, nor of standing behind myself or the event itself in a way that I consider right. Thank you to the audience for your understanding.
Slaven was one of the hosts of Pesma za Evroviziju last year as well, and was supposed to take the main stage alongside Dragana Kosjerina and Kristina Radenković, who will now remain as the two hosts of the show. Stefan Popović will once again be in charge of the green room, where Djordje Živadinović Grgur will be joining him.
