Söngvakeppnin interval acts revealed, Käärijä to perform in the final
Icelandic broadcaster, RÚV has revealed the interval acts which will be performing in both semi-finals and in the grand final of Söngvakeppnin 2025.
During the Semi-final 1 which is set to take place on 8th of February, Icelandic hip hop artist Aron Can will be the one to perform. Semi-final 2 which broadcasts on 15th of February will feature the performance of “Is it true?” by the Eurovision 2009 runner up Jóhanna Guðrún herself. The grand final of Söngvakeppnin 2025 will feature the performance of the runner up of Eurovision 2023, Käärijä who will be accompanied by the Swedish duo Hooja in addition to that last years winner of Söngvakeppnin, Hera Björk will hit the stage.
Semi Final 1 (8th of February):
- Birgo – Ég flýg í storminn / Stormchaser
- Ágúst – Eins og þú / Like You
- Stebbi Jak – Frelsið Mitt / Set Me Free
- Bia – Norðurljós / Northern Lights
- VÆB – RÓA

Iceland finished last at Eurovision Song Contest 2024 as the returnee Hera Björk scored only 3 points in the first semi-final performing “Scared of Heights”.
