Latvia’s national selection ‘Supernova’ took place yesterday evening and selected the Latvian representative for Basel.  The group Tautumeitas were selected as the winners, with their song ‘Bur Man Laimi’ by a combination of jury and public votes.

We spoke to Tautumeitas on the stage of Supernova, and interviewed them to ask their first impressions, their hopes for Basel and the importance of bringing Latvian language, traditional sound and culture to the big stage.  You can see our interview here:
