These are ESCBubble’s qualifiers from Semi Final 2 of Söngvakeppnin 2025
The 2025 edition of Iceland’s Söngvakeppnin continues tonight with it’s second Semi Final. A total of five acts are going to be competing in tonight’s show, three of which will qualify for the Grand Final that is set to take place next Saturday.
From the moment all of the songs were released, we asked YOU to let us know which ones are your personal favorites. The current results of our poll are as follows:
- Tinna – Þrá / Words – 39%
- Júlí and Dísa – Eldur / Fire – 28%
- Bára Katrín – Rísum upp / Rise Above – 13%
- Bjarni Arason – Aðeins lengur – 11%
- Dagur Sig – Flugdrekar / Carousel – 10%
Our team members have also listened to all of the competing entries ahead of tonight’s show, and voted for their favorites. Our results are as follows:

Our readers and our team members agree that Tina, as well as Júlí and Dísa should have no issues qualifying for the Grand Final of Söngvakeppnin from tonight’s Semi Final. Apart from them, whilst our readers would love to see Bára Katrín as the third qualifier, our team members believe that this should be Dagur Sig. Bjarni Arason is in the bottom two in both votes.
