After the two semi finals, Icelandic national selection for Eurovision Song Contest, Söngvakeppnin enters its Final stage tonight. Unlike the previous edition when we had best two acts advance from the semi’s and a wild card act this year the grand final will feature a total of 6 acts will compete for a chance to wave the Icelandic flag in Basel. For the first time since 2013 the decision of the winner won’t be made after the super-final round. The public and international votes (50:50) will be deciding about the winner. Seven international juries will be casting their votes.

From the moment all of the finalists were selected, we asked YOU to let us know which one is your personal favorite in this Final. The current results of our poll are as follows:

Both our readers and our team members agree that VÆB should win Söngvakeppnin 2025 and represent Iceland at Eurovision in Basel. The other acts are ranked more or less the same which shows that there is an agreement about the results while the only difference is that our team got Stebbi Jak as their third favourite act while our readers were not a fan of it and placed it on fifth place. The act which neither our readers nor the team see with any winning chances it the runner up of Icelandic selection in 1992, Bjarni Arason.
