Danish broadcaster, DR has announced that the voting for eight acts competing at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025 has opened.

All the way until 28th of February at 15:00 CET residents of Denmark, Faroe Islands and Greenland can vote once per candidate through the DR Grand Prix app and in addition to that there will be a chance to send an SMS. In case they go for the app then voting is free and in case someone sends an SMS it is 1 DK plus the regular SMS price. The second stage of the televote will commence on the day of the final, 1st of March after all of the eight finalists have performed. The app is available HERE and below you can find out how to cast your SMS vote, keep in mind that voting in Denmark is available only for the residents of Denmark, Faroe Islands and Greenland who have registered or have the Danish sim card

The decision of the winner of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will take place over two voting rounds. The first one will select top three acts which will advance further to the super finale. That ranking will be made in the combination of televotes casted before the show and jury votes (50:50). In the next stage, votes will be reset and reopened so the same method could be used again but now in order to determine the winner and next Danish representative at Eurovision Song Contest.

The winner of DMPG 2024 was Saba whose “Sand” did not manage to qualify to the final of Eurovision Song Contest 2024 as the song ended on 12th place in the semi-final scoring 12 points. The last time Denmark was in the final of Eurovision was back in 2019.
