In a special press conference, the Spanish national broadcaster confirmed that Chanel – who represented Spain in Eurovision 2022 and achieved their best result in this millennium, will be the Spanish spokesperson in this year’s Eurovision, and she will announce who the Spanish jury gave their 12 points to in this year’s Grand Final.

Melody attended this press conference as well, and this was the first time that the two artists met since Melody’s victory in Benidorm Fest earlier this year. When talking about Melody, Chanel stated:

I’ve been following her since she started her career, and I feel a deep connection with her. I feel love, empathy, strength, and absolute support for Melody every step of the way. I admire her so much.

Marie Eizaguirre, the Communications Director in RTVE, mentioned that this was the perfect time for Chanel to be back in the Eurovision world:

Chanel left a profound mark on the festival. We greatly admire her for her hard work, her effort, her perseverance, and for being a true artist.

Eurovision 2025 will take place in Basel this coming May. Melody won this year’s Benidorm Fest, thus she will be representing Spain with the song “Esa diva”.
