Kaj wins Melodifestivalen 2025 with “Bara Bada Bastu”

Kaj has won Melodifestivalen 2025 with their song ”Bara Bada Bastu” and are going to represent Sweden in Eurovision 2025. 

The final of this year’s Swedish national selection took place tonight in Strawberry Arena in Stockholm. There were 12 songs competing for the ticket to Basel:

  1. John Lundvik – ”Voice of the Silent”
  2. Dolly Style – ”Yihaa”
  3. Greczula – ”Believe Me”
  4. Klara Hammaström – ”On and On and On”
  5. Scarlet – ”Sweet and Psycho”
  6. Erik Segerstedt – ”Show Me What Love Is”
  7. Maja Ivarsson – ”Kamikaze Life”
  8. Meira Omar – ”Hush Hush”
  9. Måns Zelmerlöw – ”Revolution”
  10. Saga Ludvigsson – ”Hate You So Much”
  11. Annika Wickihalder – ”Live Again”
  12. Kaj – ”Bara Bada Bastu”

The winner was decided by the combined votes of the international juries and the public voting. The juries gave their points first. After the jury votes, the leaderboard looked like this:

  1. Måns Zelmerlöw – ”Revolution” 76 points
  2. Kaj – ”Bara Bada Bastu” 74 points
  3. John Lundvik – ”Voice of the Silent” 49 points
  4. Dolly Style – ”Yihaa” 48 points
  5. Greczula – ”Believe Me” 47 points
  6. Annika Wickihalder – ”Live Again” 36 points
  7. Klara Hammaström – ”On and On and On” 34 points
  8. Scarlet – ”Sweet and Psycho” 31 points
  9. Meira Omar – ”Hush Hush” 26 points
  10. Erik Segerstedt – ”Show Me What Love Is” 24 points
  11. Saga Ludvigsson – ”Hate You So Much” 17 points
  12. Maja Ivarsson – ”Kamikaze Life” 2 points

After the jury votes, the public votes were added to get the final result. It was a tight competition between Kaj and Måns Zelmerlöw, but in the end, the public liked Kaj a little bit more. The final results looked like this:

  1. Kaj – ”Bara Bada Bastu” 164 points
  2. Måns Zelmerlöw – ”Revolution” 157 points
  3. Greczula – ”Believe Me” 103 points
  4. Klara Hammaström – ”On and On and On” 77 points
  5. Dolly Style – ”Yihaa” 75 points
  6. John Lundvik – ”Voice of the Silent” 74 points
  7. Scarlet – ”Sweet and Psycho” 64 points
  8. Annika Wickihalder – ”Live Again” 54 points
  9. Erik Segerstedt – ”Show Me What Love Is” 51 points
  10. Meira Omar – ”Hush Hush” 50 points
