Listen to the French entry for Eurovision 2025 – “maman” by Louane
On 30th of January it has been revealed that Louane will be waving the French flag in Basel. A week after the French broadcaster has revealed that Louane will perform her entry at a half-time of the Six Nations rugby tournament game between France and Scotland at the Stade de France.
French HoD Alexandra Redde-Amiel, has revealed in an interview for 20Minutes that the idea came from the broadcaster, France Télévisions as a way to bring together extremely popular French artist and sport. She added the performance we are going to watch is especially designed for this venue, thought to please both the live audience at the stadium and the viewers at home and she wrapped up with saying that the staging which was imagined for the stage in Basel will be different this one. It has been announced that there are around 80,000 at the venue as well as that 22 other countries competing at ESC 2025 will be also broadcasting the show in addition to that the live stream has been set up and you can check it out below
Anne Edwige Maria Peichertis a 28 years old French singer and actress from Sainte-Catherine and she goes by her stage name Louane Emera or simply Louane. She rose to fame back in 2013 after she competed in the final of The Voice France. In 2014 Louane made her acting debut in the French-Belgian coming of age comedy/drama directed by Éric Lartigau, La Famille Bélier. For the role of Paula Bélier she received the César Award for Most Promising Actress. The song which she sang as part of the soundtrack of the movie “Je Vole” became a huge hit in France.
