More than 150 thousand Euros allocated for Albania’s Eurovision 2025 participation

Albanian broadcaster RTSH has announced that a budget of more than 150 thousand Euros have been allocated for the country’s participation at Eurovision 2025.

The board of directors of the public broadcaster have agreed to allocate the sum which is reported to be the largest ever amount that has ever been allocated for an Albanian Eurovision participation. This news is welcomed by many Eurovision fans who are hoping that Albania will achieve their best result ever in the contest, courtesy of Shkodra Elektronike who will sing ‘Zjerm’ in the first semi final.

The betting odds currently have Albania up as the 9th favourite to win. This is the highest place that Albania has ever occupied in the odds before the contest. Additionally, Albania is the highest country in the odds that has never won the contest before.

Shkodra Elektronike won Festivali i Këngës 63 back in December after winning both the jury and the local televote. The duo have explained that no major changes will be made to their performance in Basel. In an interview on Miqtë e Pasdites, lead singer Beatriçe emphasized that no major modifications will be made to their song, outfits, or staging concept for the contest in May.

Albania will be present at this year’s pre-party circuit with performances planned for the pre-parties in Madrid, Manchester, London and Amsterdam this weekend. They have already promoted their entry in Thessaloniki and Oslo as well.
