Revamped version of “Bird of Pray” has been released
On 8th of February the grand final of Vidbir took place and Ziferblat won and they were chosen to represent Ukraine at Eurovision Song Contest in Basel. They will be performing in the 1st half of semi-final 1 which is scheduled for 13th of May.
Today the revamped version of their entry “Bird of Pray” has been premiered. The ones who worked on the revamp was the same sound producer which worked on the Ukrainian entries for Eurovision 2024 and 2022, “Teresa & Maria” and their winning song “Stefania” by Kalush Orchestra.
The changes which were made in the song after their victory at Vidbir 2025, Ziferblat describes as a “cosmetic overhaul.” The vocal parts were lightened in the chorus, and a more orchestral sound was added, which gave the song a cinematic scope. In addition to that the mysterious pauses at the beginning now creates the intrigue and serve as something to draw in the listener.
We deliberately looked for someone who already has experience in creating songs specifically for Eurovision. This “cosmetic overhaul” allowed us to integrate elements that, we hope, will resonate with the Eurofan community. We added orchestral parts in the choruses, which give the song “Bird of Pray” an epic scope, and also introduced pauses at the beginning of the track — they create intrigue without revealing the entire essence of the composition from the first seconds.
