Eurovision 2025: Who’s staging who?

The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest is less than a month away and rehearsals are due to kick off in less than two weeks. With that said, it is worth taking a look at which names are taking care of which performances.

Until today we know details about 17 of the 37 performances that will take place in Basel.

Mamagama from Azerbaijan and Remember Monday from the UK will have performances choreographed by Jorge Antonio Fujizaki. The Japanese-Brazilian choreographer has been announced as the person behind the choreography for the United Kingdom’s and Azerbaijan’s performances at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. This is not the first time he will work with the British delegation as he has worked as the costume designer and assistant choreographer for the United Kingdom at Junior Eurovision 2022 and 2023.

Three countries will have their staging taken care of by Sergio Jaén – they are Finland, Cyprus and Austria. The young Spaniard has previously collaborated with Dua Lipa. However, his worked gained traction in at Eurovision after staging the performance of Ireland’s Bambie Thug at last year’s contest. He has also directed the interval act at last year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Madrid as well as the seven performances of this year’s UMK.

Austrian creative director Marvin Dietmann will be the staging director for the performances of Germany, Australia and Ireland. He is one of the creatives who has the most Eurovision performances under his belt. Among others, he has staged the performances of Conchita Wurst, Elena Tsagrinou, Albina, Iru, Benny Cristo and Teya & Salena.

Greece and Malta will be keeping things local for their staging. Fokas Evangelinos will be the mastermind behind the performance of Klavdia. He has previously worked on the performances of Helena Paparizou, Marina Satti, Sakis Rouvas, Miki Nuñez and Sergey Lazarev among others. Steven Levi Vella will once again be working with the Maltese delegation for Miriana Conte’s ‘Serving’. He has previously worked with The Busker, Sarah Bonnici and Christabelle Borg among others.

Albania’s Shkodra Elektronike will have their performance staged by Italian director Emanuele Kabu from Ombra. The same team has worked on Angelina Mango’s ‘La Noia’ which represented Italy last year. Ombra have previously worked with Sanremo alumni Pinguini Tattici Nucleari and Geolier.

France have trusted Frederik Rydman to stage their song. The Swedish creative director has previously worked on Nemo’s ‘The Code’ and Käärijä’s ‘Cha Cha Cha’. Meanwhile, the Dutch performance will be staged by Pim Brassien and Luxembourg’s performance will be under the direction of Ukrainian team TRI.Direction.

Czechia’s Adonxs will have his performance staged by Matyáš Vorda who has staged Czechia’s entries in the last two editions while Norway’s Kyle Alessandro will be choreographed by Gåte’s director Mona Berntsen. Host country Switzerland have entrusted Theo Adams to work on their staging. He is known for being the director behind Olly Alexander’s ‘Dizzy’.

Most delegations that we have not mentioned will have their performances directed by creative directors who work with the respective broadcasters and therefore, we do not know at this point in time who these names are. However, be sure to check out ESCBubble for further updates.
