Austria wins Eurovision 2025
JJ has just won the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest representing Austria with the song “Wasted Love”.
At tonight’s final, which was hosted by Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker and Sandra Studer, a list of 26 acts competed for the crystal microphone. Twenty of them won the final spot in the semi-finals thanks to the vote of the audience, while the Big 5 and the host country were automatic qualifiers. The producers of Eurovision 2025 decided the running order after the second semi-final based on the results of the half draw and their show criteria:

The winner of the Grand Final was selected by a combination of votes from the televote and the professional jury panel of all 37 participating countries of this year’s edition. Additionally, the audience from the non-participating countries could have a say online via the ‘Rest of the World’ voting, which had the weight of an additional country.

Last year’s winner Nemo performed the winning entry The Code at the opening act. The interval act also featured Nemo, and the performance of past Swiss participants singing songs of Switzerland’s Eurovision history: Paola (1969 and 1980), Peter, Sue & Marc (1971, 1976, 1979 and 1981), Luca Hänni (2019) and Gjon’s Tears (2020 and 2021). Fan favourites and runner-ups Käärijä and Baby Lasagna also joined the party on stage with their hits Cha Cha Cha and Rim Tim Tagi Dim, as well as their collaboration single #eurodab.
