Cypriot broadcaster CyBC reveals songwriting team for Eurovision 2019!

Over the last few weeks, Cypriot broadcaster CyBC has been dropping clues on Facebook, based on which Eurovision fans could guess who will be writing the Cypriot entry in 2019.
CyBC have now confirmed what fans were thinking already: Alex Papaconstantinou (Alex P)  will definitely be involved in the creation of the song.

A huge giveaway was this photo being uploaded yesterday:

On the far right we see Michalis Maratheftis, the CEO of CyBC, next to him Cypriot Head of Delegation Evi Papamichael and on the opposite side of the table we recognise Alex Papaconstantinou himself with a friend.

Today the Cypriot delegation have not only confirmed Papaconstantinou’s involvement but also revealed of the entire songwriting team!

This will be the 5th Eurovision entry for Alex, after ‘Yassou Maria’ (Greece 2007), ‘Always’ (Azerbaijan 2009), ‘La La Love’ (Cyprus 2012) and ‘Fuego’ (Cyprus 2018). The last one also had Teddy Sky among the composers, who will be returning next year as well. The other names in the Facebook post above are people who work with Alex P regularly and have written other songs you might recognise, such as: Margaret’s ‘Cool Me Down’ and ‘Unloved’ by Tamta.

Let’s listen to Alex’ and Cyprus’ highest scoring entry in the contest, Eleni Foureira’s ‘Fuego’!

Which artist do you this this team will be writing for?
