TVM went for a different approach for Eurovision this year, as instead of the usual Malta Eurovision Song Contest, the Maltese broadcaster decided that the winner of the first ever X Factor Malta is going to represent the tiny island in Tel Aviv. During the season, Michela Pace won each and every live show of the first ever X Factor Malta, and thus became the successor of Christabelle in Eurovision.

With over 300 songs received for Eurovision, the Maltese team together with Michela and her X Factor mentor, and with consulting an international jury, have selected “Chameleon” as the Maltese entry for Eurovision 2019. The song has just been released, and you can give it a listen right here:
