Tamta to release “Yala” featuring Israeli artist Stephane Legar

Best known to Eurovision fans following her appearance in the 2019 edition of the contest where she represented Cyprus with her song “Replay”, Tamta is one of the leading artists in Greece and Cyprus. Following numerous singles released after her appearance on the contest’s stage in Tel Aviv last year, Tamta is now joined by Israeli hip-hop singer Stephane Legar in their new song “Yala” (Arabic for “Come on”). The song will be released on Friday the 12th of June.

This collaboration is not one of a kind, as many Greek and Israeli artists have collaborated in the past. Among the collaborators are Israeli representative of 2002 Sarit Hadad who collaborated with Greek artist Nikos Vertis. Additionally a collaboration between Doron Medalie, the songwriter of numerous Israeli entries such as “Golden Boy” (2015) and “Toy” (2018) and Eleni Foureira when the latest made a cover in Greek for the 2015 Israeli entry “Golden Boy”.
