The Rasmus: "We are working on a completely new show for Turin!"

The Rasmus are an internationally succesful rock band from Finland, who have been active since 1996. Having released nine studio albums, their fifth one was particularly succesful. “Dead Letters” was published in 2003 and reached the top 10 in ten different countries and received eight gold and five platinum awards. The album sold over 2 million times and the song ”In The Shadows” became a world wide hit, reaching the charts in 26 different countries, peaking at number 1 in Finland, Germany, Hungary, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

On February 26th, The Rasmus competed at Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2022 with the song “Jezebel” and won by a huge distance. They placed first with both the international juries and the Finnish televoters and received 89 points more than the runner-up.

We got the big pleasure to meet Lauri Ylönen, frontman of The Rasmus, who was chatting to us from Hawaii. Lauri told us what changes they will bring to Turin and also revealed his personal favorite of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

We thank Lauri very much for taking the time for the interview and for chatting with us again. If you want to check out our first interview with him, you can watch it here.
