Listen to the Spanish entry for Junior Eurovision 2022 “Señorita”

RTVE has just revealed the song Carlos Higes will perform at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The young performer will bring “Señorita” to the big stage on December 11th in Yerevan!

Right after his announcement, Carlos started working on the song for the competition. Also, the Spanish representative has been preparing his vocals with the coach Natalia Calderón, who worked with the previous Spanish entrants Melani García, Soleá, and Levi Díaz and was one of the judges of Benidorm Fest 2022. The expert will provide Carlos with vocal training until the big final in Yerevan.

Last week, RTVE posted a few pictures of the recording and revealed the team that will be on stage with Carlos. The singer will travel to Armenia with some of his colleagues from The Voice Kids, Mario Falero, Roberta Fauteck, and Jesús Montero, the last from the 2021 edition. Just like Carlos, all three of them reached the semifinal of the shows and have been the backing voices in the studio.

About Carlos Higes

Carlos Higes is a singer, actor, and model born in Valencia 11 years ago. The young performer has already taken part in different talent shows like Idol Kids and The Voice Kids, where he reached the semifinal. Apart from playing the piano and singing, Carlos loves playing indoor football and learning languages. He has been a big fan of Eurovision since 2016 when he was only 4 years old and loves Armenia and the Armenian language.

The 11-year-old performer was selected from an open call for singers, where RTVE received a total of 95 submissions. The broadcaster then shortlisted 10 candidates that took part in live auditions where the finalists had to perform two songs in front of a professional expert panel made up of members of the delegation and some experts, like Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson, lyricist of Quédate Conmigo (ESC 2012).
