Moldova: TRM opens submissions for Eurovision 2023

TRM opened today the song submissions for Eurovision Song Contest 2023, all songs for the selection can be received until January 16th. On 1 February we will hear the songs through the live auditions, but after the live auditions only ten song will qualify for the National Final. The finalists will be chosen only by the jury. In the National Final the winner will be selected 50% by the jury and 50% by the public, the Final will take place between February 25 and March 5. You can follow the selection rules here. Last year the selection ended after the auditions, the expert jury selected Zdob & Zdub for Eurovision 2022.

Zdob si Zdub represented Moldova 3 times at Eurovision, their first appereance was in 2005 with “Boonika bate doba”, second one in 2011 with “So Lucky” and the most recent one, in 2022 with “Trenulețul”. In 2022, they teamed up with Advahov Brothers and finished 7th in the Grand Final with 253 points, after coming 2nd in the televot.
