ESCZ 2023 – More details revealed

Following the Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) announcing that they will be holding a National Final for the first time since 2008, more details have been announced regarding the show.

The main host for the live show will be Adam Mišík, Czech born actor and singer. The Green Room hosts will be Rob Lilley and James Rowe from The Eurotrip Podcast who will be chatting to the finalists during the show.

On Monday 23rd January, Kryštof Šámal, the Czech Head of Delegation will be hosting the running order draw which will also decide the press day for the participants.  This will be broadcast live on the ESCZ Instagram and Facebook pages.

Finally, Ahmad Halloun, International Head of Press for the delegation will be hosting the meet and greets live on their Instagram page, on the artists respective press days.

As previously reported, the 5 competing acts are:

  • Maella TBA
  • Markéta Irglová
  • Pam Rabbit
  • Rodan
  • Vesna

The show will be broadcast live on 30 January 2023 from the Kavčí Hory television centre in Prague and will be available to watch via live stream on the official Eurovision YouTube account.  The winner will be selected via public voting on the Eurovision app and announced on 7 February 2023.

Last year, ESCZ was won by We Are Domi. The group opened the Grand Final in Turin, finishing in 22nd place overall with “Lights Off”
