Listen to the snippets of MESC 2022 entries!

Malta Eurovision Song Contest returns for the first time after 2018 and it features 22 acts. The show will consist out of a semi final (17th of February) with 22 songs out of which 6 songs will be eliminated and 16 will advance to the Grand Final which is scheduled for 19th of February. Today on the official Facebook page of the selection the snippets of all competing acts have been released. In addition to that the official slogan “What A Feeling” has been announced.You can listen to the snippets below

There are lots of familiar names returning to the Contest, including two artists with previous Eurovision experience – Jessica Muscat, who represented San Marino in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, and Richard Micallef who was part of Firelight who represented Malta in Eurovision 2014 in Copenhagen and an artists with Junior Eurovision experience, Nicole Azzopardi who represented Malta JESC 2010. In 2019 and 2020 the artists were decided through the X Factor used while the winner of 2020, Destiny got internally selected once again for 2021. In Rotterdam, last year she performed “Je Me Casse” and ended up on the 7th place.
