A special edition of The Late Late Show Eurosong 2025 took place on 7th of February and the winner was EMMY with “Laika Party“. She will perform in the first half of the second semi-final which is set to take place on 15th of May. Moments ago the official music video for the Irish entry has been premiered.

Emmy Kristine Guttulsrud Kristiansen is 24 years old singer/songwriter who studied visual communications at the University of Southeast Norway. She comes from Sande in Vestfold and was born in a musical family. EMMY sang long before she could speak and has among other things been active in the choir “Soul Children”. In 2011, her older brother participated in MGP junior, which made EMMY dream of doing that herself once. In 2015, the dream came true, and she took the stage in Oslo Spektrum with the song “Aiaiaiai” which has been streamed more than 1.1 million times.  After MGP junior, she became familiar face to many and gained new fans among the younger part of the population. She got to travel around and do concerts and meet fans. She has also released several singles, including the song “Bjørnar” which has been her biggest hit when she was younger.

EMMY made a breakthrough among Eurovision audience as a finalist of MGP 2021 with “Witch Woods” in addition to that she has been the songwriter of “Woman Show” by Mathilde SPZ at MGP 2024 and “Ramtai” by Citi Zēni, third placed act of Latvian selection Supernova 2025. EMMY also wrote her entry Laika Party together with her brother Erlend Guttulsrud Kristiansen as well as Larissa Tormey, Truls Marius Aarra and Henrik Østlund. The song was written at the Rena Song Fest songwriting camp in Norway, where Emmy and Tormey met and this isn’t the first time there is an Irish-Norwegian cooperation at Eurovision as the winning duo of the contest in 1995, Secret Garden consisted out of Irish violinist and vocalist, Fionnuala Sherry and Norwegian composer, lyricist and pianist Rolf Løvland.
