Internal selection for Czech Republic in 2016

According to EuroContest.cz Czech broadcaster ČT will once again internally select new entry for Stockholm 2016 but details have not been revealed yet. “Czech Republic does not have too many singers suitable for Eurovision and acceptable for local viewers and television on the same time” – admin of Facebook group “Czech Eurovision Song Contest” said.

ESCportal.cz launched Eurovision poll regarding new Czech entry. Currently Czech-Polish pop and rock female singer Ewa Farna is leading with 9% but she was asked by Polish fans to do Eurovision many times before and always rejected this idea as she doesn’t want to choose only one country which she wants to represent. Ewa Farna has successful career in both countries singing in Polish and Czech.

Marta Jandova who represented Czech Republic this year is second with 6%, currently ties with Lucie Vondrackova. Vaclav Noid Barta received 4% of votes, band Kabat (first Czech entrant) has only 1% and Tereza Kerndlova (Czech entrant from 2008) 0%. Band Gypsy.cz is not included in the poll.
