This trio will be hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018!

From a quartet hosting Melodifestivalen 2019, we go to a trio hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018!
Belarusian broadcaster BTRC and the EBU have announced the names of the people guiding us through the contest next month.
Their names are Eugene Perlin, Zena and Helena Meraai!

Eugene Perlin is a TV host (at BTRC) taking care of many different shows: the news, a breakfast show and a Saturday evening show on TV Channel Belarus 1 are all under his care and besides that he’s also the Eurovision Song Contest commentator!

Zena is a young artist (born in 2002) and a popular one! She already has over 100,000 followers on Instagram and stepping into the limelight by participating in the 2015 and 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest selections.

Helena Meraai is actually quite familiar with the aforementioned Junior Eurovision selections in Belarus herself, having won it in 2017 with ‘Ya samaya’ (titled ‘I Am The One’ at the contest itself). At the international final in Tbilisi she landed a respectable 5th place.

News about the Red Carpet Ceremony has also been released.
That show will be presented by two BTRC hosts as well:

  • Anna Kviloria (a breakfast show host on Belarus 2)
  • Denis Dudinsky (showman and breakfast show host on Belarus 1)

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will take place in Minsk, Belarus on Sunday the 25th of November.
