Maggy Nagel, the Minister of Culture of Luxembourg who was present at the Eurovision Gala Night last weekend, says that her “Yes” to Luxembourg’s comeback in Eurovision was a misunderstanding!
During Linda Martin’s performances, she said that is it time for Luxembourg to raise funds and finally come back and take part in the Eurovision Song Contest, to which Maggy Nagel has nodded in the front row in the audience. Linda thus said that the Minister agrees, which was received with cheers in the audience.
At yesterday’s press conference concerning housing in Luxembourg, Maggy Nagel stated that it was all a misunderstanding, added that she had not agreed to anything and there were currently no plans for Luxembourg to return to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Luxembourg last took part in Eurovision 1993, and it is unknown whether and when they will return to the Contest.
