Karina EVN is competing in Depi Evratesil 2020 with the song “Why?” and we had the opportunity to talk with her before the final. The National final will take place on 15 February, where 12 songs will compete to win the ticket for Rotterdam.

of all, how was your reaction when you heard you will be at Depi
Evratesil 2020?
Hello, Thank you. I was really so happy, I realized that it is time to make the dreams come true.
What are your expectation from the contest?
Victory, for sure, and I am expecting an amazing show, cool songs, many talented guys and incredible emotions from the contest.
What made you decide to enter in the contest?
I like the format of the show very much, when each artist presents herself individually, with own song and in the way she desires. I also want to show the people that have some external flaws like me, no matter if you differ from everyone, it doesn’t mean you should give up and forget about your dreams. As at the age of 16 my hair fell out (the diagnosis of total alopecia), I know how difficult it is to overcome, and after that, I want to show people that life can be beautiful, regardless of everything!
Can you tell us about your song for Dei Evratesil, what it is
about?And why do you think your song would be a good choice for Armenia?
I don’t want to reveal all the secrets of the song, but my song is the voice of my soul and I think it will find a response in the hearts of many people!
Do you follow Eurovision and have you a favorite song from the contest?
Yes, of course! I watch the live broadcast every year, and if I don’t have time because of my busy schedule, I do watch the repeat!

Any other plans for 2020? Can we expect new music from Karina Evn?
Of course, there will be new songs and videos.Not similar to the previous ones.I started releasing songs in a new format for me recently and I want to stick to it in the future, because it is very close to my heart. And very soon I’ll have a video for my new song “Mom, what now?”, And it will be very unusual and extraordinary. 🤩
