  • Roberto Sergio (Director of SMRTV)
  • Federica Gentile (TV and radio host)
  • Ema Stokholma (TV and radio host)
  • Mario Andrea Ettore (Marketing manager at SIAE, the Italian Society of Authors and Editors

The first voting round took place on 4th of March, each of the jurors there had a chance to give points based on two criteria:

  • Overall artistic impression (production quality, emotional impact etc) – 1 to 10 points per song
  • How well would the song function in relation to Eurovision (it’s radio and international potential, possible participation at the Eurovision competition) – 1 to 10 points per song

During the final, the jury voted again, awarding up to 10 points per song. Those votes were based on things such as the vocal, stage presence and interpretation, likeability by television (opportunities for great camera angles and good produced televised performance), charisma and energy of the performer as well as its Eurovision potential. The jurors could award a max of 30 points to each song across the previous two rounds, which means that there was a total of 150 points to be given. But that is not all as the artistic director of the festival had also the possibility to assign additional 10 points to one artist based on their evaluation of all of the songs.
