ESCBubble’s look at this weeks new releases

After last week was totally dominated by Swedes, this week the rest of Europe have come to the new release party!  As always ESCBubble has searched far and wide to find you the best new music from Eurovision related artists for you to hear:

Salvador Sobral – Cerca Del Mar

The controversial winner of Eurovision 2017, who often has an opinion or two on things, is back with some new music.  Since ‘Amar pelos Dois’ took the crown in Kiev, his musical output has been quiet due to his health.  But since his appearance at this years contest in Lisbon he looks ready to release a lot more music.  Following his release ‘Mano A Mano’ in May, he returns with ‘Cerca Del Mar’ (Eng: ‘Near The Sea’):

Ana Guerra and Juan Magán – Ni La Hora

It’s been quite a sensational year for Spain’s Ana Guerra.  After finishing fifth on the Spanish talent show ‘Operación Triunfo’, her hookup with fellow contestant Aitana Lo Malo’ took the Spanish charts by storm – spending multiple weeks at number one and becoming double platinum certified.  Ana is back with producer Juan Magán with another latino infused bop titled ‘Ni La Hora’ (Eng: ‘Nor The Hour’).  Listen here:

Gromee feat Jesper Jenset – One Last Time

Gromee is back following his participation for Poland in Eurovision 2018, where he unfortunately failed to qualify from the second Semi Final finishing 14th with ‘Light Me Up’.  He released an album called ‘Chapter One’ in March and now he’s back with some new material.  This time he teams up with Jesper Jenset, a Norwegian pop singer with singles titled “Superhero” and “Call Me Yours” and who finished in 5th place in the singing competition show Idol in 2014.  Listen to their collaboration ‘One Last Time’ below:

Mendez – My Wonderwall

Not quite a Melodifestivalen free week here on the new music review!  This year’s finalist Mendez, is back following his last place finish with ‘Everyday’, although he did finish a very respectable 3rd in the public vote.  No stranger to Melfest he also finished 2nd in the 2002 edition with ‘Adrenaline’ and made it to ‘Andra Chansen’ in 2003 with ‘Carnaval’.  Back with the song ‘My Wonderwall’, you can listen to it here:

The Kolors feat J-AX – Come Le Onde

The Kolors were formed in 2010 but it wasn’t until 2015 until they found chart success with the single ‘Everytime’.  This year they entered Sanremo, the festival that doubles up as the Italian selection show for Eurovision, and placed 9th with their entry ‘Frida’.  They’re now back with a new single alongside J-AX titled ‘Come Le Onde’ (Eng: ‘Like The Waves):

Martin Stenmarck – Du och jag

Martin was the Swedish Eurovision representative in 2005 in one of the closest Melodifestivalen finishes ever, beating Nanne Gronvall by just 3 points with ‘Las Vegas’. He eventually finished 19th at Eurovision receving 30 points. He returned to Melfest in 2014 with ‘När änglarna går hem’ but eventually went out in 4th at the ‘Andra Chansen’ stage.  He’s now back with a new song for you called ‘Du och jag’ which you can hear below:

Áttan – Einn Sens

Áttan are Sonja Valdín and Egill Ploder and they competed in this years Icelandic selection show (Songvakeppnin), where they finished 6th in the final with ‘Here For You’.  They are quickly back releasing new material and have returned with a single called ‘Einn Sens’ (Eng: ‘One Thing’):

Marta Galuszewska, Ewelina Lisowska and Honey Honorata Skarbek – Tylko Moj

Marta took part in this years Polish selection show Krajowe Eliminacje this year, finishing 5th with ‘Why Don’t We Go’.  She had entered fresh from a victory on Poland’s version of ‘The Voice’ television show, where her winning single was the Polish version of her Krajowe Eliminacje song.  Now she’s teamed up with Ewelina Lisowska and Honey Honorata Skarbek for a song from the soundtrack of the Polish version of the movie ‘Książę Czaruś’ which is known as ‘Charming’ in English speaking markets.  You can listen to ‘Tylko Moj’ (Eng: ‘Only Mine’) here:
