After four semi finals of Malta Eurovision Song Contest, where a total of 36 songs were presented to the audience, in tonight’s edition of “XOW”, the televoting re-opened for another half hour, and combining the televoting results with the jury results, Malta got their 12 finalists of their national selection – Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
The 12 finalists will now have a chance to work on their songs before the final which will take place in January, but also to film the official video clip, which will be presented on the Final night, together with a new “live-on-tape” performance. They are (in the order they were announced in tonight):
- Miriana Conte – Venom
- Sarah Bonnici – Loop
- Greta Tude – Topic (Bla Bla)
- Janvil – Man
- Haley Azzopardi – Tell Me That It’s Over
- Ryan Hili – Karma
- Erba’ – Sirena
- Nathan – Ghost
- Denise – Mara
- Matt Blxck – Banana
- Gail Attard – Wild Card
- Lisa Gauchi – Breathe
None of the acts that were presented in the third semi final have qualified for the Grand Final. Three acts from the first and three acts from the second semi final have made it, as well as a total of 6 songs from the fourth (and the last) semi final have qualified for the Grand Final.
