LIVE: Sanremo Night 1

It’s finally here! The five-night Italian extravaganza that is the 74th Festival di Sanremo starts shorly from the historic Ariston Theatre.

Tonight we’ll see all 30 artists perform their songs for the first time. The festivities will begin at 20:40 CET live on Rai1 in Italy, and on RaiPlay online.

When Conchita won in 2014, Eurovision made the news here across the pond. I found it on YouTube a few days later and remember watching Mariya Yaremchuk and her now infamous hamster wheel and wondering what was I watching?! I've since converted a group of friends into Eurovision fans and we've watched every Contest (and many NFs) ever since.
Watching Eurovision 2022 unfold in Turin was an experience I'll never forget, and I look forward to many more!
