Australia Confirms Eurovision 2025 Participation

SBS have confirmed that Australia will compete at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel.

The Australian public broadcaster has revealed that the EBU has invited SBS to compete at Eurovision for the eleventh time in the country’s history. Although participation has been confirmed, SBS have not stated how their entrant will be selected. With this being said, it is highly expected that an internal selection will pick the artist and song representing Australia at Eurovision.

Some fans have been speculating that Australia’s days are numbered at Eurovision as the broadcaster has been radio silent since Eurovision 2024. However, this announcement comes as a sigh of relief for the fans of the land of the long weekend as Australia will be present for at least one more year.

Last year, Electric Fields with ‘One Milkali (One Blood)’ represented Australia and finished eleventh in the first semi final, just missing out on qualifying for the final.
