Artsvik to sing “Fly With Me” at Eurovision 2017 for Armenia!

On the 24th of December last year, Artsvik was chosen as the Armenian Eurovision entrant for this year, after she won the talent-show national selection, “Depi Evratesil”. A call for songs for Artsvik was then opened, and from over 300 received songs from all over the world, and now AMPTV decided that the one she will be singing in Eurovision is going to be “Fly With Me”.

The composing team of “Fly with me” are Lilith and Levon Navasardyan, whilst the lyrics were written by Avet Barseghyan and David Tserunyan. Lilith and Levon already have Eurovision experience, as they wrote Iveta Mukuchyan’s “LoveWave”, as well as Mika’s Junior Eurovision entry “Love”. The song features folk and traditional rhythms and elements not only from Armenia, but also from Europe, Africa and even Asia.

When talking about her song, Artsvik said:

My song tells a story of a girl, who is the metaphorical symbol of love. She embodies the colors, the stories and the voices that make us who we are. “Fly with me” encourages everyone to come with me on this girl’s journey of championing the diverse and beautiful human nature. I think nowadays it is especially important to embrace our heritage and our traditions. We, the people – our colors, our stories and our voices make up this world. We must never forget that this girl’s light and love is one for all of us.

Artsvik will present her Eurovision entry “Fly With Me” together with its video clip on the 18th of March at 18:30 CET on the official website’s Youtube channel. In the meanwhile, check out one of her performances from “Depi Evratesil” right here:
