As we previously announced during this day it was expected that we receive news regarding Festival da Canção 2021. The biggest and most important announcement was that the Grand Final of the Festival da Canção 2021 is set to take place on 6th of March, while the two semifinals will be organized on 20th and 27th of February the venue where all of the mentioned shows are going to take place is still not revealed.

RTP has received 693 songs for the Festival da Canção 2021 making it the Festival with the biggest amount of submission to date that included the songs in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.

First of the news which was revealed this morning were the names of the composers which are going to take part in the next years edition of Festival da Canção. Let us remind you that 18 composers were invited directly by RTP, while Miguel Marôco and Pedro Gonçalves were chosen through the received submissions.
