50% of Russians are indifferent of Manizha’s selection to be their representative at Eurovision 2021!

Levada Center had presented the results of the survey they recently did among the Russian citizens regarding the choice of Manizha as their representative at Eurovision Song Contest 2021. It shows that 50% of them are indifferent to her selection of for their representative at Eurovision 2021.

How do you feel about the fact that the singer Manizha will represent our country (Russia) at the Eurovision Song Contest?

Respondents aged 18-24 are better than other groups in their attitude to the fact that Manizha is going to Eurovision – 20%. This is the only age group where the share of positive assessments exceeds the share of negative ones. More age groups reacted to this worst of all: 22% of respondents 55 and older negatively assess this event.

On the other hand respondents over 55 years old had the highest negative reaction – total 22% of them. Among the ones who had negative reaction 55% said they did not like the song while 25% states that Russia should be represented by a Russian born singer.

In addition to this Manizha’s song “Russian Woman” already caused a lot of comments and reactions being also commented by the members of the Russian Senate and also Investigate Committee of Russia was checking the lyrics to the song.

In a show “Что? Где? Когда?” Manizha performed her Eurovision entry “Russian Woman”. This is not the first time she is performing the song after her victory at the national selection as she appeared at Zhara Music Awards. “ Что? Где? Когда?
