RTS opens the submission window for Eurovision 2022!

Serbian broadcaster RTS has officially opened the submission window for the artists who would like to send a song in order to represent Serbia at Eurovision 2022. The online form which appeared earlier on the link HERE asked for the information about the song, author, lyrics, biography of the performer and composer including the social media links but it didn’t include the rules and deadline. Now the full set of rules and deadline for the submission is available. All the songs must be submitted before 1st of December.

The rules include the following:

  • Lyrics of the song must be written in the languages which are officially used in Republic of Serbia, while the singer should be Serbian citizen;
  • The submission needs to include the name of the song, full lyrics, complete information of the author, singer, contact details, social networks, email, etc.
  • Songs shouldn’t be published or performed before 1st of September 2021;
  • No more than 6 performers are allowed, while the youngest one shouldn’t be younger than 16 on 1st of May 2022 because the final of Eurovision is expected to be in May 2022;

Back in May the editor of the entertainment program of RTS, Olivera Kovačević, stated that RTS will be back with the national selection for next years Eurovision. Hurricane got a second chance to represent Serbia at Eurovision 2021 after the contest has been cancelled in 2020. They performed the song “Loco Loco” in the final of this years show and ended on 15th place. You can check out their performance in the grand final below
