HRT extends the submission deadline for Dora 2022!

As we reported earlier, the Croatian national broadcaster HRT is once again organizing DORA in order to find their act for Eurovision. The submission period for next year’s edition of this Contest started on the 27th of October, and HRT has now extended the deadline for all interested musicians until the 12th of December.

In the past weeks, the Management of HRT has decided that Uršula Tolj will no longer be Croatia’s Head of Delegation for Eurovision, and that her position will once again be taken over by their Head of Delegation from the 2018 Contest – Tomislav Štengl. This change was done due to the fact that (apparently) the submission period and the rules of Dora 2022 were published by Tolj without previous approval and support of the Management.

As a reminder, the application for Dora 2022 has to include the following:

  • Personal information about the performers,
  • Final studio master recording of the song,
  • Songs should be performed in Croatian or some other official European language, and the application should include lyrics of the submitted entry;
  • Consent on the regulated copyright, performance and phonogram rights for the submission;
  • Legal representative statement ,
  • Proof of citizenship;
  • Consent of the author of the music, the author of the lyrics, the performer and the right holder of the phonogram producer.

The full application form  in Croatian can be found HERE. The full rules are available HERE.

Albina won the latest edition of Dora with her song “Tick-Tock”, and went on to represent her country this year in Rotterdam. Unfortunately, she failed to make it to the Grand Final.
