Aleksander Walmann: “We’ll have a lot of cool stuff going on stage”

Aleksander Walmann is a very well known name in the Eurovision world, as he was the lead singer of the JOWST project, who represented Norway in last year’s Contest with “Grab The Moment”, which brought Norway back into the top 10. Now only one year later, Aleksander is back, this time as a soloist, and is competing again in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix with the song “Talk To The Hand”.

We had a great pleasure to chat with Aleksander about his brand new song, and about his upcoming performance at Melodi Grand Prix. Check out everything he told us in this interview right here:

Hi Aleksander! First of all, thank you so much for taking time to talk to us! Congratulations on being one of the 10 finalists for the secound year in a row!

Thank you!!!

How did you feel when you found out that you were going to be one of the finalists in MGP again this year?

I felt like I won the whole thing again! The artists this year are amazing so I’m really proud to be in it again this year!

Can you tell us a little bit about your song?

The song is about believing in your own opinions, dreams and visions! If you believe you can achieve something , don’t listen to anyone telling you the opposite.

Do you have a vision on how you want the stage design to look like, during your performance?

We’ll have a lot of cool stuff going on stage. I really wanted it to be like a festival act. A good time with music in focus. I have great musicians and friends on stage as well as a couple of amazing dancers! Can’t spoil it ?

If you win Melodi Grand Prix, how would you feel about representing Norway for the second year in a row, and would you do anything different this time?

It would be incredible! It’s the biggest honor to represent your own country in something that I love as much as I love music! I wanna do it again!!!

Do you have any favorites among the other nine entries this year?

They are all so good!!! And awesome people too ❤

Do you have an all time favourite when it comes to ESC/MGP?

Loreen’s “Euphoria”.

Thank you very much for your time Aleksander, and we wish you the best of luck in Melodi Grand Prix!
