Ester Peony will represent Romania in Eurovision 2019!

Selectia Nationala 2019 finished moments ago, and Romania has an entry for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest – it’s Ester Peony with “On A Sunday“!

A total of 12 songs competed in tonight’s show to be the one to represent Romania in Tel Aviv this coming May. A few minutes after the televoting started, we got a split result, and Laura Bretan was in the lead, with Trooper in second and Bella Santiago in third place. Two recaps, and three interval acts later – Inis Neziri, Emmelie de Forest and Netta, we finally got to the results part.

Ester Peony won the jury votes ahead of Bella Santiago in second and Laura Bretan in third place. When it comes to televoting, Bella Santiago finished in third place, Trooper in second, and Laura Bretan in first. Even though Ester Peony only finished in 8th place in televoting, this wasn’t enough to overtake her, and thus she will go on to represent Romania in Eurovision 2019 in Israel with “On A Sunday“!
