S!sters will represent Germany in Eurovision 2019!

Unser Lied für Israel finished moments ago, where seven acts competed to represent Germany at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. After votes of two different juries and televoting, the winner was announced – S!sters with “Sister“!

The line-up of tonight’s show was:

  1. Gregor Hägele – Let Me Go
  2. Aly Ryan – Wear Your Love
  3. Makeda – The Day I Loved You Most
  4. BB Thomaz – Demons
  5. Lilly Among Clouds – Surprise
  6. Linus Bruhn – Our City
  7. S!sters – Sister

Four interval acts later – Michael Schulte, Lena, Revolverheld and Udo Lindenberg, it was finally time to for results.

The favorite of the international jury were S!sters, one point ahead of Makeda. The Eurovision jury favorite was Aly Ryan followed by Makeda once again. When the results of the televoting were added, the final results were as follows:

30 pts. S!sters – Sister
26 pts. Makeda – The Day I Loved You Most
25 pts. Lilly Among Clouds – Surprise
25 pts. Aly Ryan – Wear Your Love
23 pts. Linus Bruhn – Our City
14 pts. Gregor Hägele – Let Me Go
13 pts. BB Thomaz – Demons

Thus S!sters won, and they will go on to represent Germany in Eurovisoin 2019 with the song “Sister”. Give a listen to the winning song right here:
