Earlier this year, RTVSLO had announced that they would select EMA 2020 winner Ana Soklič again to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The broadcaster encouraged composers to send in, what could be, Ana’s next Eurovision entry and when the deadline passed yesterday, it became clear Ana had been gifted with 191 songs! A record amount of submissions!

RTSVLO announced it with pride on their social media channels:

[Translation: A record amount of submissions have come in, in reply to our call for songs for Ana Soklič for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021]

This year Ana, having won the national final EMA with this song, was set to represent her country in Rotterdam with ‘Voda’:
