The organizers of Pride Barcelona 2021 recently announced the postponement of teh celebration – to the weekend of 3rd and 4th of September, after the cancellation of last year’s edition – and it looks like we’re going to have some Eurovision acts there as well.
The organization of Pride Barcelona 2021 opted to postpone the event, to hold it in better safety conditions and with a higher percentage of the population vaccinated against Covid-19.
This year’s event will feature stages at Arco do Triunfo and Parque da Cidadela due to the works on the Plaça d’Espanya metro station, which prevents the celebrations from being held on Avenida da Rainha Maria Cristina, as was the case before.
The official program will be revealed in the coming weeks, but the celebration already started, as two acts confirmed are familiar within the Eurovision family – it’s Eleni Foureira and Elena Tsagrinou , representatives of Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 and 2021.
