Hallelujah – it’s Slovenia who confirmed its participation at Eurovision 2022!

It’s been just announced on the social media that RTVSLO – Slovenian broadcaster, will participate at the upcoming 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Italy, following the country’s victory at the 2021 contest with the song “Zitti e buoni” by Måneskin.

Few minutes ago it was announced at @emaevrovizija – the official Instagram page of Slovenian national selection EMA, that Slovenia will join the Eurovision story in its neighbouring Italy. They also announced that they will select its entry through national selection EMA 2022, respectively.

It’s yet to be announced when the song submissions will be available for the composers and artists, to submit their songs, in order to become potential Slovenian Eurovision entry. It’s expected to happen in February, but RTVSLO haven’t confirmed the dates just yet.

Ana Soklič won EMA 2020 with song ‘Voda’ and was selected again the year after, when she went to Eurovision stage, with a song ‘Amen’, written by Žiga Pirnat, Bojan Simončič, Charlie Mason and Ana Soklič herself. ‘Amen’ finished 13th in its semi-final, and, sadly, didn’t qualify to the Grand Final.

Take a look at the interview we did with Ana Soklič, just few moments after she won EMA 2020, below.
