Igor Cukrov is ready to compete in Croatia’s Dora 2022?

The Croatian Eurovision entrant from 2009, Igor Cukrov, has made a couple of years of break from the music scene, but according to reports in the Croatian media, he is ready to make a comeback and he has set his eyes on competing in Dora 2022!

Straight after finishing in 7th in the Balkan version of “Star Academy”, Igor Cukrov won the 2009 edition of Dora, and went on to represent Croatia in Moscow with “Lijepa Tena”. Ever since then, he has very fond memories of the Contest, and says that Eurovision has opened many new gates in his career. Recently he was a guest in a talk show “Dalibor Petko Show” in Croatia, where he also added:

The Eurovision Song Contest was an amazing platform through which I could show my art to a wider audience, outside of Croatia. Participating in the Eurovision Song Contest is a great success that launches the performer to some other instances. It is watched by 300 million people overall, and that is a wonderful thing, regardless of what people will say about it. Whoever says anything otherwise is either hypocritical, or does not look the truth in the eye.

Igor Cukrov has many upcoming plans for his return to the music scene, one of which seems to be to compete in next year’s edition of Dora, and fighting his way of getting to the Eurovision Song Contest for the second time. Back in Moscow he qualified for the Grand Final with “Lijepa Tena”, and then finished in 18th place.
