Käärijä announces his European tour

Eurovision 2023 runner-up Käärijä is going to the European tour this autumn. The tour dates were announced earlier today:

Käärijä (real name Jere Pöyhönen) represented his home country Finland in Eurovision 2023 with his party anthem ”Cha Cha Cha”, finishing runner-up. He won the public vote, but after the public and jury votes were combined, he got a second place after Sweden’s Loreen. Käärijä’s placing was the second best result Finland has ever had in Eurovision, beated only by Lordi’s victory in 2006.

Even though Käärijä didn’t win Eurovision, people from all over the world fell in love with him, and ”Cha Cha Cha” has been on charts in many countries, being the first Finnish language song to do so. In Finland Käärijä is definitely the hottest name of Finnish music right now. During the summer he is touring around Finland, and most of his gigs are sold out. Käärijä has also gotten some big recognitions from his home town Vantaa. The artist is getting his own wall painting in Vantaa, and the city of Vantaa will also pay Käärijä’s rent for the next year.

When Käärijä’s summer gigs were announced, many people were disappointed the artist will mostly tour in Finland. Luckily, now Käärijä is answering the call of his fans from other European countries and giving them a chance to see his energetic stage performance live.

Here you can rewatch the energy Käärijä brought to the Eurovision stage in Liverpool a couple of months ago:
