Listen to the Spanish entry for Junior Eurovision 2023 ‘Loviu’

RTVE has just premiered the song Sandra Valero will sing at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023. She will perform “Loviu”, composed by Luis Ramiro, Alejandro Martínez, Diego Cantero and David Parejo, on November 26 in Nice.

Sandra Valero was selected to represent Spain after an internal selection process open to all kids aged 9 to 14. After a submission period, the broadcaster shortlisted a number of candidates who took part in a final casting, but it was Sandra the one that stood out from the other 100 candidates that sent their application. The 12-year-old performer had already taken part in other talent shows, like The Voice and Idol Kids.

“Loviu” is happy, and danceable, and it has a very energetic rhythm and catchy lyrics. The lyrics of the song aim for kids to dream, travel through their thoughts and explore their inner world. The main message Te Quiero (I love you), which wants to connect children from all over Europe, is mentioned in the lyrics in five languages: English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

The song was launched along with the official lyric video during a special press conference featuring Sandra and the composers of the song.
