‘Una voce per San Marino’ is back for season 3

Una voce per San Marino is back for a third year in a row!

In a press release, Sammarinese broadcaster San Marino RTV confirmed the music festival will be back, thanks in part to its annual collaboration with the Secretariat of State for Tourism and sponsor Media Evolution.

The winner of the contest will fly to Malmö to represent San Marino in its Semi Final on either 7th or 9th May 2024 in Malmö at the Eurovision Song Contest.

While the precise details of this year’s Festival have yet to be announced, it was made known today that they will be looking for music from all genres, from new and established artists.

The Grand Final is set for Saturday 2nd March at the New Theatre in Dogana – the same venue used to host the previous years’ finals. Unlike in previous years, 2024’s festival will have 8 invited ‘established’ artists face off against eight ‘new’ or ’emerging’ artists, to make a final of 16 songs.

A jury will decided the winner of Una voce per San Marino and will reveal the 2nd and 3rd places as well. Artists wishing to participate in the ’emerging’ category can apply online. After a casting phase, those selected to move on will participate in a “private” Semi Final stage in February.

In May, the Piqued Jacks extended San Marino’s non-qualification streak to two years in-a-row when they failed to get any points in Semi Final 2 in Liverpool with their song “Like An Animal”.
