Slimane will represent France at Eurovision 2024

A surprise announcement this morning, as it has been revealed that 34 year old Slimane (full name Slimane Nebchi) will represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song Mon amour.

A singer-songwriter of Algerian decent, Slimane is well known to French audiences after performing on various talent shows and going on to win the 5th season of The Voice in France. With four number 1 albums under his belt, he will surely be hoping to translate his global success to the Eurovision stage.

Alexandra Redde-Amiel, France’s Head of Delegation, revealed the artist’s name in an interview with Léa Salame on France Inter radio. France will no doubt be hoping for a better result this year after La Zarra’s 2023 effort only managed to give them a placement of 16th in the Grand Final.

Slimane’s song, Mon Amour, will be revealed on France 2’s evening news starting at 20:00 CET later this evening!
