Listen To The Songs Competing At Söngvakeppnin 2024 And Vote For Your Favourites!

Tonight the Icelandic broadcaster, RÚV has revealed the 10 songs which are competing for a chance to represent Iceland at Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

On 15th of June 2023 RÚV has opened the submission window for the artists interested to send their songs for Söngvakeppnin 2024 , it lasted until 10th of September and total of 118 entries had been received. Out of those 10 have been selected. The semi finals will take place in Fossaleyni’s Truenorth Studio on 17th and 24th of February, while the grand final is set for 2nd of March at Laugardalshöllin. The artist directors this year will be Högni Egilsson, Selma Björnsdóttir, Samúel Bjarki Pétursson and Gunnar Páll Ólafsson. The hosts of the show will be  Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir, Sigurður Þorri Gunnarsson and Unnsteinn Manuel Stefánsson

Among the artists you can see two familiar faces Hera Bjork represented Iceland at Eurovision 2010 with “Je Ne Sais Quoi” and Sigga Ozk has competed at Söngvakeppnin last year. Söngvakeppnin will feature 10 songs compete for 5 places in the final. Each semi-final will feature five songs out of which two will qualify to the final. The remaining 5th finalist will be selected as a wild card entry.  Grand final will feature five performance and after the first round 50% jury and 50% televote will be determining the two super finalists while in the duel or super-final, the two acts which will be performing will be voted only by the audience and the one with majority of audience votes will be chosen to represent Iceland at Eurovision 2024.
