It’s Sarah Bonnici for Malta

Sarah Bonnici has won the Maltese national selection for Eurovision (MESC) with her song “Loop” and will carry the country’s flag in Malmö in May. The final of MESC 2024 took place earlier tonight in Valletta. There were 12 contestants in the show:

  1. Janvil – “Man”
  2. Haley – “Tell Me That It’s Over”
  3. Erba’ – “Sirena”
  4. Nathan – “Ghost”
  5. Lisa Gaudi – “Breathe”
  6. Sarah Bonnici – “Loop”
  7. Greta Tude – “Topic (Bla Bla)”
  8. Miriana Conte – “Venom”
  9. Ryan Hili – “Karma”
  10. Gail – “Wild Card”
  11. Denise – “Mara”
  12. Matt Blxck – “Banana”

The winner was decided by the combination of the votes of the jury and public voting. The jury voted first, and after the jury votes, the scoreboard looked like this:

  1. Sarah Bonnici – “Loop” 79 points
  2. Ryan Hili – “Karma” 54 points
  3. Matt Blxck – “Banana” 51 points
  4. Erba’ – “Sirena” 47 points
  5. Lisa Gauci – “Breathe” 36 points
  6. Denise – “Mara” 30 points
  7. Greta Tude – “Topic (Bla Bla)” 25 points
  8. Janvil – “Man” 24 points
  9. Miriana Conte – “Venom” 23 points
  10. Gail – “Wild Card” 17 points
  11. Nathan – “Ghost” 15 points
  12. Haley – “Tell Me That It’s Over” 5 points

After the jury voting, the votes of the public were added to the results, and the final scoreboard looked like this:

  1. Sarah Bonnici – “Loop” 102 points
  2. Matt Blxck – “Banana” 80 points
  3. Ryan Hili – “Karma” 71 points
  4. Erba’ – “Sirena” 56 points
  5. Denise – “Mara” 39 points
  6. Lisa Gauci – “Breathe” 39 points
  7. Greta Tude – “Topic (Bla Bla)” 32 points
  8. Janvil – “Man” 29 points
  9. Miriana Conte – “Venom” 25 points
  10. Nathan – “Ghost” 23 points
  11. Gail – “Wild Card” 20 points
  12. Haley – “Tell Me That It’s Over” 7 points

Jury also awarded the best newcomer and the best music video. The best newcomer was Lisa Gauci and the best music video was ”Topic (Bla Bla)” by Greta Tude.
